First, I'd like to apologize for the audio in my video review, the camera I use doesn't have a great microphone and it picks up a lot of static and camera functions. The audio on my video DOES NOT do this product justice! The BoomBUDDY sounds SO AMAZING and clear! I was blown away, I really thought this was a kind of gimmick iPhone dock, or a toy, like many that I see on Amazon. The design was so unique though, I had to order it and try it out. I figured I could return it if it's really that bad. I sure won't be returning this one! The speakers are in the sunglasses that the squid character is wearing and the subwoofer is on the bottom, and man, that thing kicks! Like I said in my video, the build qualty is far beyond any expectation I had when I ordered. A friend of mine was really pushing the iHome on me, but this sounds far better in my opinion, and it looks a whole lot cooler.

I usually try to add something I don't like about the product I'm reviewing, or at least come up with something that I think could be better, but this product was really well thought out, it looks great, it sounds great, and it works even better. I would recommend the BoomBUDDY to anyone looking for a new speaker dock for their iPhone or iPod!

My teen son loves the quality of the bass and enjoys the quirkiness of the product's appearance. He uses it with his Ipod BUT, I was a little disappointed that it cost almost the same as a really good quality Panasonic micro stereo system purchased for my other son. Gogroove BoomBUDDY is superior only in quality of bass, does not possess the versatility of the Panasonic, which has radio tuner capability and you can play a CD as well as dock your Ipod. The only way to adjust equalizer on BoomBUDDY is to use computer to change mix of specific Ipod tune...tune by tune by tune. I suppose if you were to hook up this unit for use as a speaker system to your computer, you could bypass that detail. Also, this does not lend itself to portability AT ALL. Old school parents, do not read "boom box" in any way, shape, or form to this device. Uses cord, no batteries, no carrying handle; I watch this bulky and awkwardly shaped thing being carried out, for use in the backyard, and I grit my teeth because, it's only a matter of time before one of these kids drops it.
