Costumer Reviews

God, I love this little guy. I named him Stinky, because he looks like a Pac-Man ghost, and the Pac-Man ghosts are named Inky (Blue), Blinky (Red), and Pinky (Pink). There's no white ghost.

First off, he's adorable. I bought him as a Halloween present to myself, but he's just as cute in May. He's also very modern looking. Very smooth. No buttons or gizmos, and the speakers are in the eyes, so from first glance, he doesn't look like a speaker at all - just an art piece.

He sounds really good. He plugs right into the wall - no batteries, which can be a good thing or bad thing, depending on whether you want to take him outside. I like him inside, so there's no problem.

There are no buttons on Stinky. You have to learn to touch the ghost in just the right spots to control your music and volume. It's a little tricky at first, but you'll get used to it quick.

On another note, there's a tiny blue light that shines from underneath him whenever he's on. You can't turn this off. I believe the manufacturer built it in so that you would be able to know whether or not he's on (If the music's not playing, there's really no other way to tell). I found the blue light a bit distracting after a while, so I covered the bulb with a tiny piece of black electrical tape. As it's underneath his body, no one can see.

So... To sum up. Stinky is cute. He has a nice voice. He likes it when you touch him. And he shines like the moon. The End.

As far as desktop size ipod speakers/charger's go this was the best sounding that I've heard. But don't expect this to replace your your home surround sound system though, It's far to small to pull that off. Also, No battery compartment. This unit needs to be plugged in to work. The sound quality is good and the bass isn't lost like on most other desktop speakers thanks to the built in 9 watt sub. I can confirm that it works fine with both an 8GB ipod 3rd Gen. nano and a full size 120GB ipod as these are the only ipods we own. My whole family loves the iboo and it has become a conversation piece when ever company comes over. The bottom light's up blue and looks cool in the dark. We keep it in the game room by our Ms. Pacman/Galaga standup arcade machine as it fits right in with the Ms. Pacman decor. Note there have been complaints about the ipig with newer ipod models. If worried read all reviews before purchasing iboo.
