So far after a half year of outdoor use, the portable boom box is still kickin' out the jams. It's hard to complain about this product because the price is right and it sounds fairly decent. I know it is not made for the outdoors, but I brought it camping with me and I also use it constantly when I entertain outside at my home or when I'm doing yard work. And after a breezy, smoky, dusty week of camping, humidity changes, a few sprinkles from Mother Nature it still works.
The main reason I bought it was that it was AC and DC; batteries allow it to very portable. One set of batteries lasted over a weeks worth of camping, which included late nights around the fire pit. When I plug it in around the house, it also charges my iPod. I am very satisfied with this player.
A couple of downsides to it, but this is me being nit picky. 1) the dock for the iPod seems fragile. I haven't broken it yet, but my mistreatment of it by using it outdoors has made the slide function a little gritty. But that is my fault. 2) It says right on the description that it has FM radio and it does. Plus it works very well. Stupid me assumed it also had AM, which it doesn't.
I'm still satisfied with it. Of course I would like it to boom more than it does, but then you give up it's portability and bring up the price. For my needs, it has served me well.

I was surprised, this dock has a great sound and its nice looking too! The only thing I didnt like is when i opened it, it had a few minor scratches on the dock and the actual box was a little damaged, but other than that, it works great, awesome sound!
